'B' Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment, R.A.
The Headquarters, ‘B’ H.A.A. Regiment, R.A. is assumed to have been raised at the same time as the R.H.Q.s 'C' and 'D' H.A.A. Regiments at Woolwich on 10th September 1941.
The H.Q. sailed from the United Kingdom with Convoy WS 12, leaving from off of Oversay on 1st October 1941 and arriving in Freetown harbour on 14th October. The personnel, three British Officers, three Warrant Officers and five Other Ranks, disembarked the next day.[1]
The personnel of the H.Q. appear to have been posted to the R.H.Q. 2nd H.A.A. Regiment, W.A.A. upon disembarkation at Freetown on 15th October 1941.[2]
